Tell Them: to oppose extension of sewer and water service onto the Edwards Aquifer Contributing Zone in northwest Bexar County

Please email or call the SAWS board of directors and ask them to oppose extension of sewer and water service onto the Edwards Aquifer Contributing Zone in northwest Bexar County. Any such extension would open this area to high-density development. This in turn would increase impervious cover, reduce aquifer recharge, and increase flooding. Vehicle traffic loads would also increase. The outcome will be a continued and irreversible impact on our aquifer.

This is what you can do to help stop SAWS' approval to extend these services: Call or email SAWS board members (contact info below) and ask them to withdraw the applications to expand service into northwest Bexar County. You must take action before the March 4th SAWS board meeting.
