Public Scoping Meetings on BP Oil Spill Restoration Set for Texas
Federal and Gulf states natural resource Trustees
name to evaluate impacts along the Gulf Coast as a
result of last year’s BP oil spill are developing
a Programmatic
Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for restoration of natural resources impacted
by the spill. They are holding a series
of public “scoping” meetings to help identify
issues that need to be addressed in restoration efforts.
Two of the public meetings will be held in Texas – one
on March 30 in Port Arthur and
one on March 31 in Galveston.
