ACTION ALERT --
URGENT - Protect Rural Lands and Sustainable Water Resources


Problem:
Water development interests want to designate rural sites for costly, unnecessary, and environmentally destructive reservoirs to benefit cities that are not practicing good water conservation.

Solution:
The Texas House should eliminate all remaining reservoir site designations from SB 3 and oppose any efforts to reinstate such designations before the final vote on the bill.

Action Needed:
Contact members of the Texas House of Representatives and urge them to delete the remaining reservoir site designations from SB 3, oppose amendments to reinstate designations for any reservoir sites, support landowner protection provisions and amendments, and support sustainable surface and groundwater management provisions.
